Rustic front doors – Paint your front door with a rustic style so that it will coordinate with others of your own home. With the right tools and a little preparation, you can create a rustic door with the one you already own. Sand the doors to remove your door finish. The new paint will not stick to paint or stain, sanding so the door can paint something on hold. Wipe off dust with a clean cloth.
Use painting tape protecting door hardware such as hinges, studs and door knocker. Apply the tape so that it fully covers the hardware, but does not stick to the door. Apply primer to the exterior latex paint to the door. Allow the primer to dry completely.
Use medium cracking the door. Use long strokes with the brush. A thin layer of small cracks and a thicker layer create more cracks. Let crackle medium to dry completely. Apply the top layer of exterior latex paint. Let the finish coat dry completely rustic front doors, and then remove the tape from the hardware gates.
